' Talking Money '
Priests, as well as printers, must pay their way and thus, as best they may, seal up one of ' the avonAies of ill.' For this (as Halldck hath it) is a bank-note world; and they that live on hepes often die fasting. ' A good way,' siays the ' Catholic Register, ' 'to Keep your pastor trom " always talking money in the pulpit '' is to step /up (and pay your pew-rent and other assessments for the maintenance and repairs of the church the moment they become due. The priest is not to be blamed for " talking money. " He wouldn't dio it at all if the congregation would te prompt in meeting obligations. Be just to your pastor. Don't blame him for »doJng what slow people force him to do.'
