The annual picnic and sports at Paeroa (saysf the ' paxette ') were very largely (attended by the Catholic children of Paeroa and from other parts of the district After Mass Dean Hackett addressed a crowded congregation on the early hie of St. Patrick, from which he drew several moral lessons for the instruction of dhildrcn.
