It is also my sad duty to record the death here ou Thursday of the wife of Mr. W. Holley, of LeesUcn, and motlher of the Rev. Father Iltolley, of the Tli,orndon plarisfh. The deceased lady, who was about 73 yeais- of age, only came to Wellington a few days ago on a visit to her daughter, Mrs. O. McManaway. The interment will take plare at Leeston, where t!he deceased nad icsi/dad Bor the last twenty years. Cm TJiursday ovenimg the Rev. Father Clune ma^de a sympathetic reference to the sad event, and expnesised the heartfelt sympathy of iall to the Rev. Father Holley in his berea,vem6nt. Mr. Thomas BoWden, J\in., for many years on the sitafl of the Railway Department, died on Sunday evening. He had been unwell recently but his death was Whblly unexpected, aid the news came as a ®hock to his numerous friends. Jle was at work ,as liate as 6 p.m. om Saturday. The cause of death was inflammation of the 'kiUdneysi. The doceased was ablout 3-1 years of age •anjd unmarried He was the sectond son of Mr. T.
