LIVE STOCK OTAGO FARMERS' HORSE BAZAAR

The Otago Farmer's' Co-operative Association of New Zealand (Limited) report :— We held our usual weekly s<ale on Saturday. Thirtyeight horses came forward, and, wifrh the exception of severn draughts geldings and mares of medium quality, (he nJumber was made up of van, springs-carters, and light harness ncrses. There was a large attendance of buyers, and bidding throughout was fairly brisk, and a number changed hands at good prices. We quote : Ho'avy draught maies and geldings, young and sound, £55 to £60 ; horses a shade lighter, £45 to £5,2 ; medium aJrtd useful plough sorts, £38 to £45 ; yoiu/ng, sonnd vart horses, £35 to £46 ; spring-carters, £2*5 to £32 ; hackneys', young and sotand, good sorts are saleable at from £18 to £27 ; milk-cart and butchers' order-cart horses, £17 tio £23 ; weedy and aged hacks and harness horses, £3 to £7 ; upstanding carriage pairs, sound and quiet, good movers, with a good dash of style, £65 to £90.
