MR. THOMAS McGRATH, OXFORD.

(From our Christchurch correspondent.) Very sincere sorrow is felt m the Oxford district at the death after a brief but severe iMness of Mr. Thomas McGrath, son of Mr. Patrick McGrath, of West 'Oxford, at the early age of sixteen years. The deceased was attended by the Rev. Father Hylarid, and died fortified by the rites of Holy Church. The interment was in the Oxford cemetery. Father Hyland con. ducted tihe burial service at the graveside, and at a service in the church the Rev. Father Mangan, C.SSR., \\ hjo was at the time engaged giving a mission, referred nn feeling terms to the sad event.— R.l. P.
