DWYER— FLYNN.

St. Joseph's Church, Ilawera, (writes am occasional correspondent) was the scene of a pretty wedding on February 2, when Mr. Daniel 1 Thomas Dwyer, second son of the late Mr. P. Dwyer, Patea, and Miss Helen Mary (Nellie) Flynn, second daughter of Mr. J. Flynn, were united in the bonds of Matrimony. The ceremony was performed and Nuptial Mass celebrated by the Very Rev. Dean McKenna, of New Plymouth. The bride, who was given away bly hei .'father, looked very becoming in a dress of rich white satin, trimmed with guipure lace, white sajtin rib.b.on, and orange blossoms. She also wore a beautifullly embroidered veil fastened with orange blossom. She ' was attended 'by five (bridesmaids, Misses Bessie, Julie, and Molly Flynn '(sisters), Miss Ma;ry Dolan (cousin), and Miss Mary Keane '(niece af the bridegroom). The bridegroom was attended by Mr. J. Hl.H 1 . Flynn (toother of the bride), as best man. After the ceremony the bridal party drove to the residence of the bride's father, where' the breakfast was laid. The health of the newly wedded couple was proposed by (the Very Rev. Dean McKenna. Mr. and Mrs. Dwyer left by the afternoon train for the south, where their honeymoon was spent, before proceeding to -their future home in Dannevirke. They carry with them the best wishes of a, very large circle of friends. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a pair of gold sleeve links, and the. bridegroom's presents were : to the bride, a handsome gold chased ring ; to Miss Bessie Flynn, a gold bracelet, and to, each of the other four bridesmaids, a gold cross. The presents were numerous, useful, and costly.
