LIVE STOCK DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS.
Messrs Wright, Stephenson & Co., report as follow* :— Last Saturday being a race day, few howe* were forward for our sale, for which 12 draughts, all aged or inferior, and 20 weedy haoks and harness hor*es -were entered. As usual on euch occasions, the attendance of buyers was small, and the number of horses changing hands was consequently not large. We told a country contractor's tram of four aged draught geldings, two tip-drayp, harness, eto., all of which realised satisfactory prices. About a dczen of the remainder of the horßeß w« re disposed of. We quote : buperior young draught geldings, £ r 0 to £55 ; extra good prize hor-es £60 to £70 ; medium draught mares and geldings, £35 to £45 ; aged do £24 to £36 ; upstanding caniape horeees, £30 to £35 ; well-matched carnage pair*, £80 to £100 ; Btrong spring- van horses, £35 to £45 ; nvlk-cart and butcher*' order-cart horses, £22 to £30 ; tram horses £Hto£27; light backs, £10 to £16 ; extr* go. d h-cks, £18 to £30 ; weedy and aged huckß and harneus horeea, £3 to £8.
