The Christian Brothers' Old Boys' Cup

It has already been announced in these columns that Mr. W. Sham, jun., of Nelson, has donated a silver cup for competition amongst the ex-pupils of the Christian Brothers' school, Dunedin. The first competition for the cup takes place at the Catholic schools' picnic, Out i am, on Wednesday next, the 4th of Februaiy. The events to be contested are : 100 yds., 220 yds., long jump, and high jump. The following are the conditions of the competition :—: — All events are scratch ; the competitor who scores the highest aggregate number of points in the four events is to be declared the winner : points shall be counted as follows : first 5, second 3, third 2 ; the winner shall have his name engraved on one of the shields and hold the cup for one year ; the competitor who after three years (having won the cup at least once) shall have the greatest aggregate for the three years, shall be presented with the cup ; entries are confined io old pupils of the Christian Brothers, Dunedin, and subject to the rules of the N.Z.A.A.A.
