Napier. January 22. — The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company (Limited), London, cabled to-day — ' Frozen. Meat Market. — To-day's quotations are : Canterbury mutton, s^d per 1b ; Napier, Wellington and North Island mutton, 4gd per rb ; lamb, first quality, 6^d per Ib ; second quality. 6d per lb. London, January 22. — The wheat markets are strong, with a general hardeninp- tendency. Cargoes, are firm. Cahfornian September-October shipment is nuoted at 32/- ; January shipment, 31 /6. Butter is dull. Colonial, 102/- to 104/- ; occasional lots 106/-. Danish is unchanged. Cheese is firm. New Zealand, 62/- to 63/- ; Canadian, 64/-.
