Mgr. Hoyne left for Hobart by the Waikare on Thursday. Rev. Father Hogan, one of the professorß of Manly College, Sydney, is spending a holiday in New Zealand. He left on TbW day for Maeterton. The retreat for the clergy of the Archdiocese of Wellington begins on the 21st inst. ~ IT F ntil after the retreat Rev. Father Kimbell will remain in Wellington Owing to the condition of his health it is improbable that he will return to Greymouth. • ™ T !V? Marißt Brothers from the different oentreß have assembled in Wellington for their retreat, which i 9i 9 to be preached by Rev. Father Leo, Bedemptoriet. Rev. Father Galerne, of the Te Aro parish, will preach the retreat to the students of the Meanee Seminary. Very Rev. Dean Lightheart, who is in' charge of the Maori Mission in the Auckland diocese, was in Wellington this week.
