The pianoforte duet, 'National airs.' by Mises Kathleen Martin and Emily McConville, was most carefully performed whilst the violin selection, 'The last rose of summer 'by Master Harry Martin and Miss Lullie Power, was likewise a most enjoyable item. Miss Rose Liddle's pianoforte solo, ' Dusset's sonata ' was executed with much taste and skill, as also was that given by Miss Muriel Wright, who contributed ' Chopin's waltz ' Another excellent !£ m a , a ™ he Tiolin Eolo< ' H °P e told a Mattering tale,' played by Miss Lily Power, the young lady being warmly applauded for her effort. The young ladies mentioned sang in a most pleasing manner, and the audience were so charmed with the item that they pereibted in applauding until the song whs repeated. A pianoforte duet, • Capricante ' by Misses Muriel Wright and Rome Liddle, was tastefully rendered and brought the first half of the programme to a close. The second part of the concert was devoted to the floral cantata, 'The Quarrel of the Flowers,' which was exceedingly well staged, the characters being taken by Misses Theresa Lynch, Letitia McConville Gladys Fernandez, Lullie Power, Kathleen Martin, Annie Hennessy' Norma Wyllie, Mary Martin, Dorothy Martin, Kathleen Hood' MaMe Hennessy, and Noni Martin. The tableau, 'The Crowning of Christmas,' was effectively given, and the closing chorus by the pupils was sung with much success.
