REEFTON.
(By telegraph, from our own correspondent.)
December lfi
Everything in connection with the bazaar to be held during Christmas week is progressing satisfactorily. A difficulty was at first experienced in securing a centrally-situated building, but Messrs Hallenstein Bros., propriet rs of the N.Z. Clothing Factory, have most generously given, freu of charge, the use of the new premises erected for their Reefton branch. Donations of money and goods have bt-en received from very many kind friends — Catholic and non-Catholic, cltnca' and lay. The local convent is at present quite a treasure house for artistic, ornamental, and ut-eful work of every description. The four principal stalls are to be presided over by Mrs. Rhodes, Mrs. Harold, Mr*. Pott*, ami Mrs-. Horton. The refreshment stall is in the hands of Mrs. Smith. Given fine weather and a good attendance of the publi" at the bazaar there should be a satisfactory resulr, ior the Rtefton Church and Convent. An art uui<m is also being held, but this will not b« drawn until later on. F>>r this aLso some very handsome and valuable prizes are announced, and tickets are already selling freely.
