The Catholics of 8.-verwyck, a district neir Amsterdam, have elected to Parliament Herr P instoors, the president of the Catholic Association. He defeated 11 -rr Cremer, the minister for the oolonies, and another candidat* who is a sK'i.tli-tt. His election gives the Catholic-* hopes of vict ries shortly, when the general election will take place.
