THE FINEST CHOIR IN THE WORLD.

Undoubtedly, the finest choir in the world is that of St. Peter's in Rome, known as the Pope's ohoir. There is not a female voice in it, and yet the most difficult oratorios and sacred music written are rendered in such a manner as to make one think that Adelina Patti c high soprano is leading. The choir is composed of 60 boys They are trained for the work from the time they get control of their vocal chords, and some of the bent singers are not over nine years old. At the age of 17 they are dropped from the ohoir. To say that at the Pope's services one hears the grandest church music that the world has ever known Bounds oommonplaoe so far short does it fall of apt description.
