DUNEDIN WOOL SALES.

The fourth wool sale of the season was held in Dunedin on Friday, when 251 3 bales were submitted. The total offerings for the series show a falling off of close on 2000 bales. The attendance of buyers was well up to the average and the decline noted in the north was not reflected. Owing to the brisk competition, prices, although irregular, were slightly firmer all round than at last sale. The ransre of priceß was : Greasy half-bred, 4]d to 7}d ; crossbred, \\d to Gjd ; merino, s^l to 7, 1 1 ; pieces, 2{d to s}d ; bellies, 2£d to I $d; lock*, 1 4d to 3d : slips lamb. Gd to 15} I; scoured orosßbred, G£d to 7\d.
