Dunedin Horse Saleyards.
Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co. report as follows :— There was a miserable display of horses at this week's Pale, only some 15 or 20 light harness horses of indifferent class being entered.
Two or three useful spring carters changed hands at from LI 7 to L2O. No draughts were forward. Really first-claas draught geldings, young, staunch, and sound, would command a good market, and so would really useful medium draughts and strong, upstanding harness horses. During the week we have sold about a dozen at full prices. One buyer for this class of horse present in the market to-day could have taken 30 had they been offering We recommend consignments. We quote Superior young draught geldings, L 43 to LSO ; extra good prize hcr^c 0 , L"2 tr > l "•"> • indium draught mares and geldings, L3O to L4O ; aged do, LIX to L2j ; upstanding carriage horses, L 2.", to L 3" , onrr'ynpp pairs.
