The entries at Addington were only 6632 sheep, 300 cattle, and 332 pigs. Fat Cattle— 2l6 head were yarded, mostly light weights. Competition was extremely dull, but prices showed no change. Steers brought L 4 17s t>d to L 7 17s 6d,one extra prime heavyweight, LlO 2s 6d ; heifers, L 3 17s (id to L 6 2s tid ; cows, L 3 7s (id to Ls,one extra good, L 8 ; equal to 19s per 1001 b for best beef, and 13s 6d for inferior. Store Sheep— A small entry, chiefly small. lor odd lots of good forward kinds competition was good, but for lambs and backward kinds there was little or no demand. The entry of ewes in lamb was a poor one, and they met with a dull sale. There was a very small entry of fat lambs, about 300. Bidding for prime freezers was good, but half-finished sorts were neglected. Best freezers sold at from 15s to 17s sd, and others from lls to 13s 3d. Fat Sheep— Only a moderate entry, comprising a good proportion of butchers' quality. Good prime half bred and Down freezers Bold well, but heavy and coarse sorts were slightly duller of sale, while butchers' ewes were about on a par with last week. Freezers sold at from 17s to 20a 4d ; best ewes, 14s to 18s ; others, 12s to 13s 6d ; merino wethers, 10s to 15s 6d. Pigs Only a medium entry. Banners realised from 28s 6d to 34a 6d ; heavyweight, to 395, or equal to 3d per lb ; porkers, 18s to 25s 6d, or equal to 3*d per lb ; stores, 10s to 14s ; weaners, 2s Gd to sa.
