Napier, June 7. — Messrs. Nelson Bros, received the following cable to-day : — ' Frozen meat market • To-day'H quotations — Best Canterbury, 5Jd ; Napier and North Island, 4jd. Lamb - First quality, 6d ; second, ssd. London, June 8. — Wheat : Prices favorable, but the weather has had a quietening effect upon the markets. The French and German markets are firm ; 29s is asked for Victorian off-the-coast cargoes. London, June 10. — Frozen mutton . New Zealand and River Plate are unchanged. Lamb : Prime Canterbury, s id ; other sorts are unchanged. New Zealand beef (1801 bto 2201 b, fair average quality) : Ox fores, 3Jd ; hinds, 4 id. Wheat: Two South Australian Cargoes of 13,000 and 8000

Messrs. Donald Reid and Co. report as follows :—: — Oats — Our catalogue was composed for the most part of short heavy feed, a few lots of which were sold at Is 6d to Is 6sd per bushel. For shipping lines the market continues dull, and late values are barely maintained. We quote : Prime milling, Is 7d to Is 8d ; good to best feed, Is 5d to 18 6d ; medium, Is 4d to Is 5d per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat— Prime milling quality is in moderate demand at late quotations. On Monday we offered best whole fowl wheat, which sold at 2^ per bushel. We quote • Prime milling, 2s 5d to 2s 6d ; medium, 2a Id to 2s 4d ; whole fowl wheat, Is lOJd to 2s ; broken and damaged, Is 9d to Is lOd per bushel (sacks in). Potatoes — Supplies are in excess of immediate demand, and market remains dull at for be<>t Derwents, L 2 ; others, LI 16b to Ll 17s 6d per ton (sacks in). Chaff — Prime oaten eheaf is in good demand, and readily quitted on arrival. Medium and discolored lots are difficult to place even at reduced values. We quote • Prime oaten f-heaf, L 2 10a to L 2 13s ; medium to good, L 2 to L 2 7s 6d : inferior, Ll 10s to Ll 15s per ton (bags extra).

Prime milling velvet and Tuscan, 2s 5d to 2s 6d ; medium. 2s 2d to 2s 4d ; fowl wheat, Is 9d to 2s per bushel (sacks in). Oats — Market very dull. Milling, Is 7d to Is 8d ; good to best feed, Is 3d to Is 6d per bushel (aacks extra). Chaff — Supply fairly large and prices unchanged. Prime oaten sheaf. L 2 10s to L 2 Ijs , medium, L 2 5s to L 2 7s 6d per ton (bags extra). Potatoes— Demand dull. Best Dements, L 2 to L 2 2s Gd : other sorts almost unsaleable.

Straw: loose, 28a ; pressed, very scarce, none in market. Bran :L3 10s. Pollard: L 4. Flour : Sacks, L 6 ; 501bs, Lti 109. Oatmeal Best 25lbs LiO Butter : Dairy, 6d to 8d ; factory, lOd to lid.
