London, May 30. — The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 3,025,000 quarters, and for the Continent, 1,770,000. The Benlarig's cargo sold at about 28a 4£d. Argentine grain shipments in bulk are proving a great success. Since January 16 steamers have brought 30,000 tons to Liverpool. Napier, May 31. — Messrs. Wheat —We offered a quantity of broken and seconds, for which there was no demand, and sold best whole fowl wheat at la lid to 2s per bushel (=acks in). Potatoes —The market is heavily supplied, and a poor demand was experienced to-day, best Derwents realising only L 2 per ton (sacks in). Chaff—We catalogued a quantity of medium, which is entirely out of r< quest, in most cases no offer being received. Prime quality is scarce, and readily placed. Stronach Bros, and Morris report as follows: — Wheat —Prime milling is in fair demand, but other sorts are almost unsaleable.
