AS ITS. VICTIMS MILLIONS OF OUR RACE.

While every nation in Europe ha« advanced this century in prosperity, Ireland, under the influence of English rule, has sunk decade by decade lower and lower in poverty. Ire and's population to-day contains more of the age of children and more over the age of 50 than any other nation in the world. The meaning of that is that the children and the old have remained with us, but the young and the strong vigorous manhood of Ireland has, decade by decade, fled away from her shores to seek in other lands under free conditions the right to live and work and be free. The wealth-producing occupations of the people have steadily declined.
