London, August 2. — At the tallow^ sales 1325 casks were offered, and 925 sold. Prices remain unchanged. The present stocks total 21,575 casks. The imports during the past month were 7854 and the deliveries 3796 casks.

Messrs. Dalgety and Co. have received the following cable from their London office, dated 3rd inst. : — ' Greasy super, merino, merino and fine crossbred sheepskins, three-quarter to f ull-woolled, are fd per lb higher. Clothing sorts have advanced jd, and shorn pelts Jd. Medium greasy crossbreds remain unchanged. The wool market is rery firm, and tending upwards.'

London, August 4. — There is no demand for Bradford wool The market is brisk. Common sixties, 26d ; super. 27] d.

London, August 6. — At the sheepskin sales there was only a small supply and keen competition. The bulk were sold. Combing merinos and fine crossbreds realised Jd higher ; low crossbreds were |d lower.
