DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS.

Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as follows :—: —

Saturday was a very quiet day. Entries were not numerous, and buyers were conspicuous by their absence. Two or three fairly good draughts were offered, but failed to find purchasers. With a

continuance of the present good weather the demand for this class will improve, as good draughts are really scarce, and will be wanted. There were no good light harness horses brought forward, although there is still a fair inquiry for useful buggy and spring-cart sorts. A few of the commoner class changed hands at quotations :— Young draught mares and geldings, at from L 45 to LSO ; good do, L 35 to L4O ; medium, L2B to L 35 ; sound young spring-carters, L2O to L 26 ; light harness horses and hacks : Firstclase, L2O to L 25 ; good do, Lls to LlB ; medium, LlotoLl2 ; light and inferior, L 2 to L 5.
