There were only «mall entries in most classes of stock at Addington, comprising G943 fat sheep, 2.51S Jat lambs, IHOO siore sheep, 375 cattle, and 297 pigs. Fat Cattle— lso yarded, including 15 very heavy bullocks from the North Island, which sold at L9s»to L 9 10s. The others were light to handy weights, and the market was without alteration. Local steers, L 5 to L 7 ss; heifers and cows, L 3 17s 6d to LG 10s. Fat sheep — A «mall entry. There were very few good freezers, and factories being blocked, matters eased off, this class selling at 15s to 18s Gd ; extra heavy, at 21s ; butchers' ewes, extra prime, to 15s lOd ; good, up to 13s ; and others easier down to 9a. Lambs — There was a keen demand for prime lambs for export at from 14s Gd to 18s, and extra prime up to 225. Butchers' and unfinished sorts were easier at from 10s Gd to 12s 9d. Store Sheep — The bulk of the store sheep were breeding ewes, which met with a keen demand at 12s 9d to 15s Id ; mixed twotooths, 13s 4d ; lambs, 10s 3d ; merino wethers, 5s Gd to Gs 9d, and ewes 5s Gd. Pigs sold fairly well, baconers averaging 3]d and porkers 4id. Stores were well up to late rates.
