DIOCESE OF AUCKLAND.
(By telegraph from our own correspondent.) Rev. Father Amandolini of Hamilton is coming to Parnell. Rev. Father Kehoe is ill. His wide circle ot friends earnestly hope for his speedy recovery. Very Rev. Monsignor Paul. V.G., and Very Rev. Dean O'Reilly left Auckland last Friday night lor Coromandel for the purpose of opening a new church at Driving Creek. Rev. Father Mulvihiil of Gisborne is suffering from fever. General regret was felt by the Catholics of Auckland on receipt of the news. The Rt\. Mother of the Sisters of Mor^y returned from Au-tralii last Monday morning, wbither she had gone in connection with niittttid relating to the Oid^r. The presentation from the Cathedral parishioners to the Rev. Father Croke has been unavoidably delayed owing to his indisposition. Very Rsv. Father Lightheart, Superior of the Maori Mission, spoke at all Masses and Vespers at the < 'athedral last Sunday, aui eloquently appealed for monetary assistance for the Fatheis of Saint Joseph. A hearty response was made by the pc >ple to the appeal.
