London, May .). — The total quantity o! wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 3,340,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,740,000 quarters. London, May 10. — The American visible wheat supply is estimated at t.1, 6 14,000 bushels. London, May 12. — The wheat market is quiet. March cargoes are being offered at 28s 6d. and April cargoes at 28s 3d ; March parcels, per steamer, at 27s 3d, and per sailer at 27s (id. Colonial rabbits are in poor demand. Donald Reid and Co. report as follows :—: — Oats — We submitted a- catalogue of medium to good feed oats suitable for the lojal trade. There was fair competition, and the catalogue waß cleared at prices in most cases a shade in advance of late quotations. Good lines suitable for shipment are not offering freely, and for such there is strong inquiry at quotations. We quote long Tartars and seed lines Is 4£d to Is 6d ; prime milling, Is 4d to Is 5d : good to best feed, Is 3d to Is 4d ; medium and inferior, Is 2d to Is 2|d per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat — There is fair demand for all milling wheat in prime condition. Medium quality is more difficult to place. Fowl wheat is offering more freely, and late values are barely maintained. W«s quote — Prime milling, 2s 3d to 2s 6d ; medium, 2s Id to 2s 2£d ; whole fowl wheat, Is lOd to 2s ;v; v broken and damaged, Is 6d to Is 9d per bushel (sacks in). Potatoes — The market is fully supplied, and in consequence large sale* cannot be effected, except at slight reduction 'on late values. We quote — Best Derwents, 32s 6d to 355 ; others, 30s to 32s 6d per ton (saoks in). Chaff — The market is still heavily stocked.
