Dunedin Horse Saleyards. Mepsr?. Wright, Stepbenson and Co. report as follows :—: — For this week's sale there wa& a very small entry of horses, and. owing, no doubt, to the perfect harvest weather prevailing, country buyers were conspicuous by their absence. Two consignments of usef'nl draught mare- and gtddings — the one from the Tapanui district and the other from the Strath-Taieri — were the principal i entries in the heavy class, and of hacks and harness hoi\ses, beyond a tew weedy sorts, there was nothing of importance on offer. The sale wa>a dragging one throughout, and very few animals changed hands under the hammer , but the private dealing afterwards was most successful, and. w iih one exception, all the draughts forward were sold at full maikct rate*. One first-class heavy draught geldinu 0 s years old) was sold at I/.S'.t K>a, and several other useful m.ires and ni'ldiags at tiom L 22 to L.iv.
