The English one hour track record has been raised by A. A. Chase, who, pac°d by the crack Dunlop teams, succeeded in riding 33 mile-? 712 yards in 60min. on the Crystal Palace track, London. This ride is nearly a mile better than the previous English record, held by J. W. Stocks ; but it is not equal to Elke's American ride, when he covered the remarkable distance of 34 miles 1223 yards in the hour. — ***
