The Bradford wool market is improving. Rabbits are dull at Sid to «d. London, October 23. Frozen Mutton : Cross-bred wethers or maiden ewes — Canterbury, 3sd; Dunedin and Southland, 3sd ; North Island, 3 id. Lamb is not quoted. River Plate cross-bred ior merino wethers — Heavy, 2Jd ; light, 2Jd.

Messrs. Stronach Bros, and Morris report as follows :—: — Rabbitskins — Competition remains brisk and prices are very firm. Quotations : Prime winter greys, does, 19d to 19|d ; bucks, 16d to 17fd ; mixed, 17d to 18£ d ; blacks, 15d to 16Jd ; medium greys (mixed), 14d to 16£ d ; autumns, lOd to 13d ; summers, 5Jd to 9d ; suckers and half -grown, IJd to s£d per lb. Sheepskins. — We offered a good catalogue on Tuesday when the demand was keen and prices were fully equal to late quotations. Hides — In good demand. Prime heavy ox, 3M to 4d ; medium, 2Jd to 3d ; light and inferior, l£d to 2£d per lb. Tallow — Market firm. Prime rendered mutton, 14s to 16s ; medium, 12s to 13s 6d ; inferior, 9s to 11s 6d ; rough fat, 8s 6d to llsper cwt.

Messrs. Edward Thomas and Co. report as follows : — Rabbitskins — Continue firm, and competition was especially brisk for the better classes on Monday last, with the result that on these grades the market was slightly higher. The following prices were paid : Selected does. 19$ dto 19|d was offered ; piime winters, up to 18£ d ; second, 14£ dto 16d ; outgoings, lid to 13d ; springs, 9d to lid; autumns, 8d to lOd ; summers, 4d to 7d, small and damaged, Id to 2d.

Sheepskins have advanced. Clean butchered merino, up to s£d ; half-bred, 4£d tosAd ; crossbreds, 4^dto 4|d. Good shipping skins are the most in demand, fallen and damaged pelts being somewhat uncertain in price.

Hair— Clean mixed, 12»d to 13d : curled, 3d to 4d. Hides — Fair prices continue, heavy sound ox being most in demand ; cow also find ready buyers at a steady price. Calfskins also wanted. Goatskins — We have a slight inquiry for these.
