Messrs. Nelson Bros. (Limited), Tomoana, received the following cable from the C.C. and D. Company, London, to-day :—": — " Frozen meat market. To-day's quotations are: Best Canterbury mutton, 3sd per lb ; best Napier and North Island, 2£d per lb ; first quality lamb, 4id per lb ; second quality lamb, 4d per lb."

From Dunedin there were despatched 799 carcases frozen mutton and 18,016 of lamb, while Oamaru sent away 125 carcases mutton and 5097 carcases lamb, and lnvero argill 90 carcases mutton and 1 6,073 carcases lamb Lyttleton's export of mutton was 32,003 carcases, and of lamb 137,277 carcases. Wellington's export of mutton amouuted to 101,588 carcases, and of lamb to 13,369 carcases. The butter shipped from New Plymouth amounted to 6375cwt., and the cheese to 1892c\vt. ; from Waitara 181 iewt of butter and 31 86cwt of cheese. There were exported from Dunedin 1693cwt. butter and 5027cwt cheese.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report as follows :—: — Sheepskinh — The demand has been less keen during 1 the past week. Best crossbreds were fetching 4dto 4fd ; medium, 2d to3+,d ; dry merinos, 2d to 4|d per lb '. green crossbreds, 2s to 2s Cd ; extra large. 2s 8d ; preen lambskins, Is 9d to 2s 5d each. Rabbitmcins — The market is still bare, but a keen demand for all offering. Medium to good fetch lO.Jd to Is *2& ; prime winter, Is 3d ; summer and autumn, ."id to 9\d ; suckers and half-grown, \\d to 3.sd per lb. Hides— Heavy well flayed, 3d to 3\d ; medium, 2d to 2jd : inferior and light, Id to l^d perlb. Tallow and Pat — Country rendered bent fetches 13s to 14s ; medium, 10s to 12s Od ; best mutton caul fat, 9s (id to 10s ; medium, 8s l»d to 9s 3d ; inferior, 8s to 8s (Jd per cwt (ex store, net).
