A JOCKEY'S TERRIBLE CONDITION.

A SERIES OF ACCIDENTS. It may be taken for granted that nothing is further from the mind of the jockey, when riding a close-contested race, than the chances of an accident oocuring. The frequency with which mishaps take place on the race course, however, serves to illustrate the old saying, " It's the unexpected that generally happens." Mr. T. H. Lampard, of 15 Fisher street, Adelaide, who was an intense sufferer from indigestion and internal injuries, the results of accidents with horses, and who has been completely cured by Dr. Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People, stated his case to a reporter as follows :—: —

" I have been a sufferer for years with Chronic Indigestion, and internal injuries received accidentally from horses. When I was sixteen y«ars of age a horse threw me heavily, which stunned me, and I lay unconscious for six hours. I was carried home to where I was then living at East Wellington, Soutb Australia, and for days after was totally unable to move. I was again badly injured when riding the horse ' New Babylon,' on the old course at Adelaide. The year following, the horse ' Staunterer,' which I owned and rode, fell with me at Nairne Races, and rolling on me, broke my left shoulder blade, fractured some of my ribs, and bruised me all over, so that my body went quite black. Nature could not stand all this knocking about. I began to feel a strange numbness in my limbs, this increased as time went on, until one part of my body went quite dead, and I could not feel anything whatever when a needle was pushed into that part. I had plenty of medical advice, and consulted no less than seven doctors. Some relieved me for a time, but others were not able to benefit me in the least. I afterwards got very bad, and resolved to try the various patent medicines that I saw advertised, and I really think I tried almost everything that was recommended as a cure for my complaints. Amongst other things I tried an Electric Belt, but that was not of the slightest use, and I got so disgusted with it that I burnt it. I spent no end of money on various preparations, and with the sole exception of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills for Pale people, none of them benefited me at all. About June last I had a pamphlet from Dr. Williams' Medicine Co. handed to me, and reading it found a case something like my own, so I resolved to give Dr. Williams' Pink Pills a fair trial. I sent for half-a-dozen boxes, and commenced taking them at the beginning of August, and took three boxes before feeling any benefit. However, from that time I felt a distinct improvement, until at last I was cured of complaints that had troubled me very severely for more twenty years ; but to make doubly sure, I have continued to take the Pills right up to the present, and most certainly would not be without them if they cost a£l a box. My cure is the more remarkable, because I was not able to take the pills at all regularly, in fact everything was against the Pills, for frequently I only had very bad water to drink, and was greatly exposed to changes from heat to cold, and the usual back country manner of living. Before taking Dr. Williams' Pills I was almost a skeleton, and my weight was only Bst. 51b.. now I weigh lOst. 61b. I think that speaks for itself. Lately my friends at Quorn have remarked how wonderfully well I am looking, and I tell them it is Dr. Williams' Pink Pills I have to thank for it. I know that many friends of mine have been taking the Pills after seeing the wonders they have worked in me. It might interest you to know that I have given away no lobs than a dozen and a-half boxes of these Pills."

Congratulating Mr. Lainpard upon his return to good haalth our reporter withdrew.

Thebc pills are not like other medicine, and their effects are permanent. They act directly on the blood, and thus it it is that they are so famous for the cure of anaemia and rheumatism, weak heart, scrofula, consumption, erysipelas, and to restore pale and sallow complexions to the glow of health. They are also a splendid nerve and spine tonic, and thus have cured many cases of paialysis, locomotor ataxy, neuralgia, St. Vitus' dance, and nervous headache. They are sold by chemists, and by Dr Williams Medicine Company, Wellington, X. Z., at 3s a box, or bix for 15s <Jd, but are genuine only >vith full name, Dr. Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People. See that your chemist does not substitute something just as good when making your purchases. The just as good kind cost him less money, and he is looking out for his pocket, not your health.
