DUNEDIN HORSE SALE YARDS.

Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as follows : — At Saturday's sale there was a fair attendance of buyers present, and a moderate number of horses of all classes forward. There were very few good draughts offered ; nearly all those submitted for sale were either aged or inferior sorts, and there was very little inquiry for them. Consignments of really first-class, sound, young animals would sell well, as there is a good demand for them, and whenever horses of this description are forthcoming they meet with a good deal of attention and bring good values. Springcarters were well represented ; among those offered were consignment! from Oamaru and Invercargill, which consisted of strong upstanding horsea suitable for springcart or 'bus work. For these there was a good demand, and a number found new owners at satisfactory prices. Upstanding hacks and harness horseß are in better demand just now on account of the approaching holidays. To-day we offered and sold a number of good useful sorts at prices in favour of sellerß. On account of next Saturday being Boxing Day there will be no sale. The date of the following week's sale will be duly advertised.
