very convenient and ctnual posi ion. iud c.l, the position of the section is so central as to be almost in the very middle of the bay in which the watering place is situa'ed, A lawn and tennisjclub made the selection of land and upon it erected the present building, which is a substantially constructed wooden hall, wi'h an iron roof and capable of comfortably accommodating about 300 persons. The grounds, wh eh are fenced round with a live hedge, were once a lawn and tennis court, but after they had been used for a time for this purpose, in them the members of the club and their friends ceased from some cause or other to hold their gatl eriDgo, and the premises were put up for sale. The hall is fairly high and nearly a square in form, ar.id well lined within with matched boards. An altar and some sestß, also a few interior fittings and alterations, would include everything necessary to change the whole structure into a nice little church. Apart from the altar and seats the main expense would be the windows, which in consequence of the hall not being used for a long time, have been considerably injured, and are at present closed up with boards. Some weeka ago the Bight Rev Dr Grimes said he would like to have the building renovated and Mass celebrated therein before long. Were, therefore, a few persons to earnestly iuterest themselves in the preparing of the hall for divine^service, Mass would soon be said not only once but alto occasionally st Sumner, The property is worthy of attention, and the sooner that it can be used for the purpose for wbicb it must now be devoted the better.
