Wht&t— Tue market his been raiher quiet during the past week. Stock', however, are gradually working down and will boon be in nariowcomp.es. Holders of the small lots still undisposed of ace firm and prices are well maintained, but until a decided improvement in values is apparent at Mark Lane there is no prospect of higher prices ruling locally. Grass Seeds —ByegraßS seed is now moving off, Bud prices well maintained. Chaff— Owing to the very moderate supply to hand this week prices have slightly improved. Best descriptions are worth 2a BJ. Pollard — Good inquiry at 90s per ton. Chaff — Market firm. We have placed large quantities daring the week at our quotations. We quote prime bright heavy, 72a 61 to 753 ; meiiutn to t;ood, 60-. to 659 ; covr feed, 52s 6d to 65s per ton. Cocksfoot — No enquiry. Poultry — All consignments reaching us are cleared with little difficulty at our quot»tions. We quote, turkeys, 63 ; geese, 4s 6d to 5g ; ducks, 4a ; fowls, 2s 6d per pair. Rabbitekins— ln good demand. Best winter skins, 91 ; medium, 6d to 7d ; autumn, 3d to 5d per lb. Sheepskins — Considerable quantities si ll continue to reach us and find a ready market at last week's prices.
