Store Sheep — There are not very many offering of any description. All offering, however, meet with buyers who are now prepared to operate at prices s xnewhat more satisfactory to vendors, Sheepskins— On Tueßday, the regular weekly auction sale day, moderately fall catalogues were printed to a very full attendance of buyers, who competed with a good deal of, spirit for all lota submitted, last week's full prices being well maintained, Ojuntry dry crossbrede, inferior to medium, Is 5d to 2s 6d ; do merino, Is 3d to Is 8i; medium to good crossbreds, 2s 7d to 3s 2d ; heavy, 3s 3d to 3d 9d ; er ra do, 4a 2d to 5b 6d ; good to best merinoe, Is 9d to 2s 9d ; heavy, 3s to 3s 9d ; dry pelts, Id to lOd ; green crotsbreds, good to bes>, 3s 6i to 3s lOd ; extra heavy, 4s to 4a 6d ; medium, 2s 9J to 3a 4d ; green lambskins, beßt, 2s lOi to 3a 2d ; medium, Is 4d to 2a 9d each. Babbifcekinß— Notwithstanding the fact that pricss at tbe sales lately held in London showed a slight drop campared wiih ihose obtaining at the previous sales, the demand in the local market this week was very active. Quotations for bißt winter greys, 10J1 to ll£d ; extra prime selected does, Is; medium to good, 9d to l<)d ; beat autumn, 7d to BJ-d ; medium, 6d to7d ; summer, 3J to 5d ; suckers and inferior, la toljd ; best winter black and fawn, ll£t to Is l£d ; picked, Is 2fi ; medinm to good, BJi to -10£ d ; inferior to medium, 4d to 7jd per lb. Hides— There is no change to note in these. Heavy sorts are fetching 2£d to 3d ; extra do, 3£d to 3£J ; light to medium, lil to 2jd ; inferior and light, Id to l|J per lb. Tallow and Fat— -Transactions are confined to oddments from the conntry, and are taken up readily for local requirements at the following prices : Say for best rendered mutton, 17s 6d to 18a *d ; medium to good, 14s 6d to 16s 6d ; inferior to medium, 10a to 13s ; rough fat, best mutton caul, 11s 6d to 12s; medium to good,lo< 6i to 11s ; inferior to medium, 9a to 109 per owt (ex au>re). Wheat — Business all through the past week has been on a small scale and no Changs of any consequence to note. The market remains very quiet, stocks in first bands are nil and arrivals have been alight. Prime milling Tuscan and velvet, 3s 9d to 49 10£ d; good to beßt, 3s 8i to 3s 9i ; medium, 3s 7d to 3s 8d ; inferior, 3d 3 1 to 3s 6d (ex store, sacks weighed in, terms.; Oat* — The market this week has been somewhnt quieter and as sellers are not exceedingly anxious to quit at Home price?, less business has been done, but the slightest improvement in the intercolonial demand would undoubtedly cause a reaction. Ohaff— The market bas been fully supplied during the week, prices, in conseqneoce, show but little, if any, change. Prime, L 2 15s to L 2 17s 6d ; extra do, L 3 ; medium to good, L 2 10s to L 2 15s; inferior, Ll 15s to L 2 7s 6i per ton (ex truck, sacks extra or returned, net).

Dairy Produce— Market quiet. Prime salt butter, dairy made, 7£d to 8d ; medium, 6d to 7<i ; inferior, flat, 3d to 5d ; North Island factory made, 9Jd to lid ; local factory, la to Is Id per lb. Cheese dull. Medinm size in retail lots, 4»d to 4|i ; loaf shape, 4|d to 5d j dairy made, 2*d to 3Jd per lb. ax — Buyers for local manufacture are the only operators.
