Professor Notmann'a system of Cures for nervous and o:her disorders is highly recommended. As a specialist the Professor is ready to guarantee a complete cure. Patients will find him at his address, Market Place, Christchurch. Mrssrs Herbert, Haynes and Co's goods for the spring season are now oq view, an i will be found calculated to suit all tastes and requirements. The necessity of having perfect saoitary arrangements and appliance? ia connection with dwelling houses, offices, and other buildings in large cities is evident. la this connection it may not be out of place to call the attention of those requiring sanitary appliances to the exhibits of Messrs J. and R. Scott, of Rat tray street, Dunedin. Some of these are in lee 1 of such a superior character as to be well worthy of inspection. Most prominent among the exhibits is a beautiful seif-ontainad spray and plunge batb, made of cast iron enamelled. ThU is trted with oae of tbe latest combination tapa, by means of which tbe water can be obtained for either a spray, shower, or planga batb by simply turoin? one handle. Tbe exterior of tbe batb ia grained and varnished, and fi ished off nicely in eveiy way, so that the bath does not require to be built in with woodwork. There is also on view a 9ilent-actmg, flush-out water closet, the great advantage of which is that the cistern, which is fixed ia the top of tbe closet, has a large outlet, enabling the whole of its contents, conbisting of 3gal of water, to be emptied into the closet at once, the result being that the bisin is thoroughly e'eansed withont any noise. A number of other wa'er closets of various descriptions — some of them fitted with polished mahogany seats and of a very superior character— are likewise to be seen among the exhibits. Then there are a number of lavatory washband baaios of the self-contained description, fitted up with nickle-plated hot and cold water taps. The basins are supported by brackets— some of a very neat pattern— all the pipes connected with tbe basins being exposed to view, so that they can be readily repaired in tbe event of their being damaged ia any way. Messrs J. and R. Scott, it may be stated, do tbe usuil ran of plumbing work, electric bell-hanging, etc, and make a specialty of sanitary plumbing— Mr J. Scot beiog a plumber registered by the Worshipful Company of Plumber*, London. This should be a fuffi. cient guarantee that any work entrusted to bit care will be done in a first-class manner.,
