THE GREEN FLAG.
TO THE EDITOB N.Z. TABLET.
Bib.— ln reference to the above lam very thankful to your correspondent, " Pro Patria," for reminding me of the mistake I made in saying that the Green Flag was never seen in this city ; but certainly it is very seldom seen. I must apologise, for lam fully aware of Mr Bairetts patriotism which cannot be disputed. I fully appreciate all your correspondent said in regard to both Mr Barrett and Mr Burke, who are certainly warm-hearted Irishmen, but I think your correspondent will find 1 am correct when I say that the Hibernian flag was the only green flag flying last St Patrick's Day. With regard to Mr Barrett, if I thought my corrtspondence hurt the feelings of that gentleman I would apologise personally to him, for I hold him in the highest esteem.— l am, etc., Chbistchtjbch Occasional Cobbebpondent.
