Messes Stbonach Bbos. and Morris report as follows :— Bheepskins. — On Tuesday moderate catalogues were presented to a full attendance of the trade. All lots met with keen competition, and sold at prices on a par with those ruling last week. We quote — Dry crossbreds (inferior to medium), Is lOd to 3s; do merino, Is 9d to 2s 7d ; full-woolled eressbreds, 3s lid to 5s lid ; do merinos, 3s 4d to 4s lOd ; dry pelts, 4d to Is 7d ; butchers green crossbreds (best), 5s 3 i to 5s 6d ; light, 2s lOd to 3s 6d ; lambskins, 6d to Is lOd. Babbit skins.— Tbere was a good attendance at the sale on Monday, when small catalogues were submitted. Competition was, as usual, brisk, resulting in satisfactory prices being obtained, which were quite on a par with those ruling last week. We quote — Prime winter does, Is 3£d to Is 3|d ; best winter bucks, Is 2d to Is 2|d ; spring greys, Is to Is 2d ; best winter black and fawn, lOd to lid ; autumn greys, 9d to lid ; summers do, 6d to 8d ; suckers (halfgrown), 31 to sd. Hides. — The market is unaltered and more than fully supplied with light and inferior sorts. We quote— For heavy ox hides, 2£d to 2|d ; extra do to 3d ; medium, 2d to 2£d ; light, lid to If d ; inferior, Id to l£d. Tallow and Fat.— The demand still keepß brisk for all that come forward, and values for all qualities of rough fat and tallow are well maintained. Quotations — Best rendered mnttoo tallow, 19s to 20s ; medium to good, 16s to 18s 6d ; inferior to medium 13s to 15s ; best clean caul, 12a 9d to 13s 6d ; inferior to medium and good, 9s to 12s 6d per cwt. Wheat.— We quote— Prime Tuscan and velvet, 3a 3d to 3s 6d ;

ordinary, in heavy supply, 2s lOd to 3s Id ; fowl feed, 1b 9d to 2i 6d (ex store). Oats. — We quote— Prime milling, up to Is Hid ; bright heavy feed to Is lid ; good ordinary, Is 9d to Is lOd : medium and inferior, Is 7d to Is Bd. Chaff. — Tbis has been in good supply during the week. Prime oaten sheaf, well cut, is worth up to 555 ; medium, 40s to 60s. Potatoes— Market overstocked. Best Derwents are worth from 30s to 35s ; medium, 20s to 25a. Grass Seed. — Ryegrass is in heavy supply and dull of sale at up to 3s 9d for old pasture lines ; ordinary machine-dressed, 39 3d to 3s 6d. Cocksfoot, slow of sale at from 2Jd to 4d. Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report as follows :— Babbitiikins — Small catalogue ; competition keen ; slight ad. vance in prices. Sheepskins — Larga catalogue dry and green skins ; keener competition ; prices a shade higher. Tallow — Ready sale for all descriptions rendered and rough fat. Wheat— Market very quiet, no business being done. Oats— Steady demand for good feed, but for milling samples there is not much enquiry. Potatoes— A few trucks of fresh-picked could be placed at for— best, 30s to 32s 6d ; inferior, 20s to 255. Chaff —Good demand for prime oaten sheaf.
