MESSRS 6TBOKACH Bbos. and Moßßis report as follows :— Babbitskins — We presented a large catalogue to the nsual foil attendance of buyers at the sales on Monday. Prime winters sold at 15d tols£d ; good, 14£ dto 14$ d ; mediam, 13d to 14d ; inferior, lOld to 124 d ; coloored, 9d to lOJd ; autumns, 8d to 9si ; and Backers, 2d to 4a. Hides — A. fair demand is experienced for all lots coming forward. We quote — best beary weights, 21d to 3d ; mediam. 2d to 21 i : lieht ljd to lfd ; inferior, Id to l^d per lb. B ' Tallow — There is strong demand for all lots coming to hand. Quotations— prim 6 rendered, 18s to 20s ; mediam, 15s 6d to 17s * inferior, 12s 6d to 14s 6d ; rough fat, 9s to 13s per cwt. Potatoes— The market still glutted. Quotations— best, 25s to 27s ; inferior, 15s to 20s. Chaff— Prime oat-chaff is in short supply, and commands good prices, while inferior sorts are in plentiful Pupply and difficult to quit. Prime heary, 47s 6d to 52s 6d ; medium, 40a to 45s ; inferior, 30s to 36s per ton. Bye-grass— There is a good inquiry for prime, machine-dressed, clean farmers' lots. Quotations— best machine, 4s to 4s 3d ; do farmers'. 3s to 3s 6d ; inferior, 2s 3d to 2s 9d. Grain— Wheat : The market is Tery dull, it being difficult to effect sales except at a decided reduction on late quotations. We quote— Prime milling, 3s 4d to 3s 7d ; medium, 3s to 3a 3d ; inferior, 2s 9d to 2i lid ; fowl wheat, 2s to 2s Bd. Oata— There is a fair demand existing, but very little business passing. We quote Milling. Is 10£ dto Is ll}d ; bright feed, Is9d to Is lOd ; discoloured, Is 5d to Is 8d ; sacks extra. Barley— Very little business doing. We quote— Malting, 3s 3d to 3s 8d ; milling, 2s 6d to 3s ; cape, 2s 3d to 2s 6d. Sheepskins — There was a good attendance of buyers and bidding was brisk. Prices obtained were about equal to last week's. Green oroasbreds sold at 3s 7d to 5s 3d ; do merino, 2s lid to 3s 7d ; dry erossbreds, 2a to 5s 4d ; do merinos, la 5d to 4s 7d ; do pelts and lambs, 7d to 2s lOd. All sorts are in moderately fair demand, and no difficulty in effecting tales when sellers are disposed to accept reasonable prices. Store Sheep— A steady business is being done in these, a few of all descriptions changing hand?. Sheepskins— Country dry erossbreds, inferior to medium, brought 2s Id to 3s 2d ; do do merino, Is lid to 3s , fnll-woolled crossbreds, 4s 3d to 6s 5d ; do do merinos, 3s 6d to 5s 3d ; dry pelts, 3d to la 9d • butchers' green crossbreds, best, 6s to 5s 8d ; extra prime. 5s 9d to 6s 7d ; mediam to good, 3s lid to 4s lOd ; green merinos, best, 3s 8d to 4b ; light, 2s lid to 3s 7d each. Grain— Wheat : This market continues to quietly droop wsek after week, and the position is becoming more unsatisfactory as Uw season advances. We quote— Best milling yel?et and tnscan A Ss 3d to 3s 6d ; extra prime a shade more ; medium to good, 2i 9d to Si ; inferior and good whole fowls' wheat, 2s 2d to 2s 6d ; broken, Is 9d to 2s (ex store, sacks weighed in, terms). — Oats : There if do material change to note in the tone of the market since we last reported. We quote— Prime milling. Is ll}d to 2§ ; prime bright short feed, If lOd to Is lid ; medium to good, Is 9d to Is lOd ; inferior to medium, of which the market is bare, Is 6d to I s 8d (ex store, sacks extra, net). Barley : Market qaiet, no business of any consequence being done. Prime malting, 3s 9d to 4s ; medium to good, 3s to 3s 6d ; feed and milling, 2s 31 to 2s lOd (ex store, sacks extra, terms). Dairy Produce— No inquiry of consequence for keg butter, Quotations nominal, 8d to 9d per lb. Cheese has but small demand. We quote— Factory, medium size, 4Jd to 5d ; loaf, 4d to 6id ; dairy mads, 2d to 4£d per lb.
