ANSWER TO CORRESPONDENT.
" Cork Act Union." — We own no responsibility whatever in connection with thia art union, concerning which we have no particular information. — It is much to be desired that the promoters of such undertakings in Ireland would be exact and precise in fulfilling the conditions advertised by them, and prompt in replying to letters addressed to them. Their failure in either of these respects goes far to discredit Catholic charities generally, and to bring their promoters into suspicion. We mean this remark particularly for those who are accountable for the art union at Cork, and we hope they will take the hint.
