Messrs. Robert Clkland and Co report as follows :— Supplies direct from the countiy are reaching us with greater freedom. Ihe decline at the London siles last Friday prohibits any advance in price here further than the better quality of skins now killing warrants. We quote good autumns and early winters at Is per lb. ; inferiors in proportion.

Mr. F. Meenan, King street, reports:— Wholesale prices: — Oate, Is 2J to Is sd, bags extra. Wheat : Milling, 2a lOi to 33 5d ; fowls', 2s to 2a 9d, sacks included. Chaff . £2 10s for best ; inferior, 30s to 40a, unsaleable. Hay : Oaten, £3 ; rye-grass, £3. Bran, £3. Pollard, £4. Potatoes : Seed, £2 10s ; derwents, £2 10s to £3. Flour: Stove, £8 ss, for sacks ; £9 for fifties ; roller, £8 15s ; fifties, £9 15s ; Butter, Iresh, 9d to Is — rather scarce; salt, 6d to 8d — demand moderate, Eggs, Is G.I.

The Almanac meutions one hundred and seventyeight orders of chivalry, fourteen of which are for women ; Spain haa the largest number. The oldest order is that of St, Andrew, created in England in 787.
