It is announced that the Scottish Catholics are organising a pilgrimage on a large scale to the Island of lona, where is Bituated the famous shrine of St. Columba. who carried Christianity from Ireland to Scotland and founded the monastery which is regarded as the cradle of Scottish Christianity. Many old Scottish Kings are buried on lona Island, which is familiar to tourists The pilgrimage is to take place oa June 13.
