Oats. — A. very fair demand continues for these, and as the arrivals here are practioally no hiog, all supplies have to be drawn from store, thus tnhancmg the value of those held, and which is already being experienced. Our outside markets show no material change, but the laok of supplies from here will soon tell its own tale, and speculators— who, by the way, have good stocks in store, will have to pay enhanced prices. Danish are again in request, while long tarters are somewhat neglected ; but bright sorts are moßt in demand, and during the week we sold a large parcel for T V M H , Hilland, la 9d to 3s 4d, while for a parcel of black o<*ts, J F H Kelso we got Is 10i. We quote prime milling up to Is 9d to 3s 4d ; good bright feed and ordinary milling, Is 8d to Is 9d ; medium. Is 7d to Is 8d ; inferior, Is 3d to Is 6d. Barley .-—The demand is nothing like so good as it was some time ago, while prices are easier an 1 quotations nominally for prime malt, mg up to 4s 3d ; medium, 3s 6d to 3s lOd ; milling and feed, 2s 6d and 3s 6d respectively. Potatoes.— The arrivals have fallen off considerably from both north and s>uth, and anything offering, if quality good, finds sale at from £2 7* 6d to £3. Chaff. — Market glutted. The weather being bo favourable for cutting a large quantity keeps pouring in. while the demand is not equal to it. Seeds. — Ryegrass : Fine weather is causing a little demand, but no improvement in prices.— Oockßfoet : Priceß for this once neglected but now most prominent seed is as low as it will be, and during the week we placed 50,0001b5., a very large quantity for this season of w ear ' at from d*° 3 $ d -— Olover : These we have now landing ex Westland, and will be pleased to forward samples and quo ations in the courße of a few days on application.
