Kilgour, grain and produce broker, reports under above date as follows : — Wheat. — Tbe little animation consequent oiyjthe advance in prices cabled from London has now subsided and the market isquiet, millers being inclined to buy only sparingly. I quote Velvet and Tuscan, of prime milling quality, at 3s 2d to 3s 4d ;• other milling sorts, 3*to 3a Id. Fowl feed, which is scarce, 2s 3d to 2s 7U» — Oats : There is a fair demand for shipment, but arrivals are quite up to requirements. I quote bright short feed, Is 8d to l&££d ; milling, Is 9d to Is 9^d ; inferior and long oats, 1b 6d.tp lsjd.— Barley : Tbe demand continues good for prime malting .quality is at from 3b 6dto 3s 9d, but infeiior quality slow of sale. -l.bave inquiry for feed parcels at 2s 3d to~2s 6d.— Chaff : Crices are about the same as quoted last week, viz., £2 17s 6d td £3 per ton; bags extra or returnable. — 'Potatoes : The supply is rather irrl&ccess of the demand, which is only local, and the bast price goiug is £2 ~los. — Butter : 8d per lb for prime salted, in kegs. — Bggs : Very': scarce, at Is 9d to Is 10d per dozen. - i Mtf.
