Some idea of the mortality from the cholera now ra<nn» in France may be gained from th« following official report. FrortTthe 27th of June to the 27th of July, 1146 deaths were registered at Marseilles. Of the victims 798 were French, 322 Iralans, 1 3 Spaniards and 9 Greeks ; while of Englishmen, Americans. Austrians and Germans the number was only one for each nationality. No fewer than 42 nuna and one Capuchin fell victims to their chanty and zeal. We are not informed of the number of the secular clergy who died though it is likely to have been also considerable ; but we are told of the deaths of two policemen, three telegraph officials, three customhouse officers and other*. By far the greater number of these deaths Occurred jn the hospitals,
