Wright, that institution deserves the epithet godless just as much as do the Queen's Colleges. Mr. Wright in a recently published pamphlet says :— '* It cannot any longer be taken for granted that the Fellows of Trinity College, Dublin, are believers in Divine Revelation. If report be true, some of them do not believe in the existence of a personal God. There are Professors in the University who are reasonably suspected of Agnosticism, if not of Atheism, It is impossible, however, to demand the dismissal of a Fellow or Professor on the ground of any erroneous opinions he may hold on religious questions, and it would be highly undesirable, eyen if it were possible, to prosecute any University teacher for sceptical views. But it is a lamentable fact that many Btudents " unlearn " at Dublin, as well as Oxford, the religious principles in which they were instructed at home. There exists in Trinity College what is virtually a propaganda for sceptical views, and too little effort is put forth on the other side in order to stem the tide of infidelity among the students. The church should awaken to a comprehension of the true state of affairs."
