TWO THREATENING PREDICTIONS.
On a marble slab at Oberemmel, in Germany, is this inscription :—: — Quando Marcus Pascha dabit, Et Antonius Pentocostem celebrabit, Et Joannes Christum adorabit, Totus mundus vac I clamabit : which means, when Easter shall fall on St. Mark's Day (April 25). Pettrcost on St. Anthony's Day (June 13), and Corpus Domini on St. John's Day (June 24), on the days named all the world shall cry woe. In the year 1886 the above feasts will fall on the days named. The following is attributed to Michael Nostradamus, born December 14, 1502, died at Salon June 24, 1566. " Quand Georges Dieu crucifera, Que Marc le ressuscitera. Et que Saint Jean le portera, La fin dv monde arrivera." That ia, when Good Friday shall fall on St. George's Day (April 23), Easter on St. Mark's Day (April 25), and Corpus Domini on St. John's Day (June 24), tbe world, will come to an end. In 1886 these three feasts will be celebrated on these days ; according to these prophecies we have, at least, a little time yet to prepare for the great event,
