Merceb and McDonald, Rattray street, report :— Fresh butter is still very plentiful, "best and favourite brands (in lib. and Alb. prints), 8d per Ib. ; good ordinary butter can be procured at 6d per lb. ; Eggs, Is 3d per dozen. Roll bacon, 8d per lb. Good salt butter, in kegs, none selling. Mb. F. Meenan, Great King street, reports : — Wholesale prices : Oats, Is od to Is 8d per bushel ; milling wheat, 4s Od to 4s 8d per bushel ; new wheat, 3s 9d to 4s — are quoted none in market ; fowls' feed, 2s to da; barley, malting, 2s 6d to 3s 6d ; feed, Is 9d to 2s 6d per bushel ; hay, £3 per ton ; chaff, £2 15s per ton ; straw, £2 per ton : bran, £3 per ton ; pollard, £4 per ton ; flour, £10 10s to £11 per tan ; oatmeal, £9 per ton ; butter, fresh, 6d to 8d ; salt, very unsaleable, 6d to 8d ; eggs, Is 2d ; bacon in rolls, 8d ; side, B£d ; hams, 10£ d ; fresh pork, 4£d per lb. ; potatoes, new, 3 s to 4s per cwt.
