PARNELL AND DILLON.

A correspondent of an Eastern paper furnishes the following penportraits of Messrs. Parnell and Dillon : —

Mr. Pamell is tall and slender in build. His beard is full, short, and light in colour. The portraits of him published in several of our weekly contemporaries bear no resemblance to him ; representing as they do, a stout-faced, dark-complexioned man. There is an air of refinement about hvm which does not degenerate into hauteur. He is unobtrusive, dignified and quiet in manner. He speaks with a slight English tone. There is a charm about him which must surely engage all with whom he comes in contact. Certainly he affected ua with feelings of respect and love. Hiscuu.se in the British House of Commons and his conduct in America prove that he has a will of iron, that the soul which clothes him is that of a true man.

Mr. Dillon is not inaptly described by a St. Louis daily in these terms :—": — " A tall, well-knit gentleman. His features are finely cut, and his expression is that of a thoughtful student and scholar. Hia black hair is combed down over his forehead, while a dark, closelycropped beard and slight moustache form a sti iking contrast to the pallor of his complexion. In manner and demeanour he bespeaks the perfect gentleman. He converses in low, pleasing tones i*ith rather monotonous expressions and without the least symptom of excitement." He has the least taste of a rich brogue, which adds an additional charm to his speech.
