Meecee and McDonald, Rattray street, report : — Fresh butter (in lib. and £lb. prints), best and favourite brands, Is 3d per lb. ; good ordinary butter, Is Id to Is 2d per lb. ; Eggs, very scarce, 2s Od per dozen. Roll bacon, lOd per lb. Side bacon and hams not obtainable. Good salt butter, in kegs, lOd per lb. Me. J. Fleming, Princes street, reports :— Wholesale prices : Oats, Is 3d to Is 4d per bushel ; milling wheat, 3s lOd to 4s per bushel ; chicks, 3s to ds 3d ; barley, feed, 2s 6d to 3s per bushel ; pollard, £4 per ton ; bran, £3 per ton ; flour, £10 lOs per ton ; oatmeal, £10 per ton ; potatoes, £2 10s per ton ; new hay, £3 per ton ; old hay, £4 per ton ; chaff, £3 per ton ; straw, £2 5s per ton ; onions, 7s Gd per cwt. ; hams, Is 2d per lb. ; bacon, lOd per lb.
