He shared a room with complainant in the Rangitikei Private Hotel, Palmerston North, on the night of 27th ultimo, and on 29th ultimo sold the stolen bonds to the Manawatu Loan and Discount Co., Wanganui, for £l6, stating that he had purchased them when his ship was in New Zealand waters in September last. He is a straggler from the United States Navy, and when arrested the Inspector of Police, Wanganui, and the representative of the United States Joint Purchasing Board are to be advised.
